I help leaders and their teams prepare high-quality papers and presentations in a fraction of the time. This involves 'nailing' the message that will quickly engage decision makers in the required outcome. I trained at McKinsey and have helped executives from almost every role and industry over the past 25+ years.

FAQ

  • What is different about structured communication?

Structured communication techniques were developed at McKinsey in the 1960s by a team led by Barbara Minto. Sometimes called the Pyramid Principle, structured communication asks you to organise your messaging around one central message. This message is supported by a small number of ideas that are tightly structured one of two ways.

  • Who is the Clarity Hub for?

Anyone who wants to improve the clarity of messaging in their papers and presentations. Ideally, you will already have a foundation in structured communication techniques, although this is not essential.

  • Why join the Clarity Hub and not just do a course?

I encourage you to join the Hub after you have completed a structured communication course or read a book. The Clarity Hub helps you get more out of the approach, but doesn't introduce the basics.

  • What credibility do you have to teach structured communication?

I learned the techniques at McKinsey. Barbara Minto reviewed and approved my Pyramid Principle training in 2009.
